How to book

Book online

The easiest, quickest, and often cheapest way to book is online. You can book online 24 hours a day, and pick your own seats. Be aware when booking your seat, the 'i' indicates that the selected seat has additional information which is explained when adding to your basket.

Come in

The Sales and Information Centre, our main Box Office, is usually open Monday –Saturday, excluding Bank Holidays. We are located inside The Guildhall Theatre, on Derby Market Place.

Booking information

How to pay

You can pay by credit or debit card (Maestro, Visa, MasterCard or Solo), cash or Derby LIVE vouchers. 

Booking Fee

We charge a booking fee on most tickets which goes towards covering our administration costs. Ticket prices advertised include these fees. 

E-tickets

Where available you can choose to receive an electronic version of your tickets. A PDF will be emailed to you to show on your phone or print out. For security reasons on some events tickets cannot be printed at home.

Delivery of your tickets

Tickets purchased from within the UK more than 7 days before your chosen event can be posted to you for £1. If you haven’t received your tickets within 24 hours of the event, please contact us on 01332 255800.   

If your ticket is classed as a high value ticket, you may be required to pay for tracked postage at £2.  This will be offered to you at the time of booking.

Ticket collection

Please note, tickets can only be collected from the Sales and Information Centre (Guildhall Theatre, Market Place, Derby, DE1 3AE) prior to the performance date.

Tickets will then be available for collection from 1 hour before until 30 minutes after the start of the performance at the Guildhall Theatre or Derby Arena.

However, if the event you are attending should is not at these venues you will need to collect your tickets beforehand from the Sales and Information Centre.

If you decide to collect your tickets on the day we do recommend allowing time to collect your tickets.

Confirmation emails

You should receive a confirmation email after booking online, if you don’t, please contact us on 01332 255800 or email boxoffice@derby.gov.uk.

Concessions

Concession prices are available for many of our events, and usually extend to under 16s, over 60s, registered unemployed, disabled people and full-time students.

Please note that if you are buying a ticket with a student or unemployed concession, ID that corresponds with that concession will be required on collection (for example valid student card, proof of receiving unemployment benefit). If you are unable to present valid ID on collection you will be asked to pay the standard ticket price.

Special Offers

Special offers, discounts and concessions cannot be combined unless otherwise stated. From time to time we may offer tickets at prices other than those first advertised. It's not possible to include tickets you've already bought in any future special offer.

Wheelchair users

Unfortunately it isn't possible to book wheelchair seats online. This is because we want to make sure no one else books in wheelchair spaces by accident. If you'd like to make a booking and you or a member of your party is a wheelchair user, please call us or email us with your contact details and we'll get in touch with you to ensure that all of your needs are catered for.

Assistance dogs

If you need to bring an assistance dog with you please let us know when you're booking.

Additional Information  

Gift vouchers

You can buy a Derby LIVE & LIVE ticket gift voucher online here. We also sell them over the counter and over the phone. We are unable to post gift vouchers.

Reservations

Depending on the seat availability and proximity to the performance date, we will be able to reserve tickets for groups of 10+

Refunds

Tickets are non–returnable and non-refundable except when an event is cancelled.

Age guidance

For events taking place at a Derby LIVE venues:

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult. Under 12 months are FREE, providing they can share your seat. Some events have specific mandatory age guidance and/or content warnings (see event pages for details). However many events do not, and whilst we are happy to offer advice on age recommendations and content, it at the discretion of parents/guardians to decide if an event is suitable for their child.
