This event is promoted by The Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society, Derby LIVE are pleased to act as a ticket agent.

2019 is a very special year - the 200th Anniversary of the Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society.

To celebrate their will be a one-day show with the theme of Farm to Plate which will be held on Sunday 30th June at Bakewell Showground. THis has replaced the Bakewell Show. Lots of exciting attractions are planned with the emphasis on how stock is bred and butchered and how crops are grown and harvested, then to show the end product of food on the table with a range of cookery demonstrations.

Cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry- all out in the open, so you can get up close
An amazing demonstration of heavy horses pulling machinery as they did in days gone by
A cookery theatre where local chefs will prepare dishes using local produce
A workshop marquee with a rolling programme of experts including beer and cheese matching, cheese making, herb growing and honey production
A competition for local primary schools to create a celebration garden
Children’s entertainment with the Young Farmers bringing back games of yesteryear… such as welly-wanging and hay bale carting
A display of vintage tractors and state of the art machinery
A chance for budding anglers to learn how to cast- and much, much more…

Free car parking onsite at Bakewell Showground

Tickets bought through Derby LIVE will need to be collected from the Sales and Information Centre, on Derby Market Place, before 8pm on Saturday 29 June. Tickets will not be able to be collected at the Showground
