About the event
80s Mix Tape returns to The Darley Park Weekender 2023
Back after its successful debut in 2022, 80s Mix Tape returns for The Darley Park Weekender 2023. Join us for more nostalgia featuring Martin Kemp, Hue and Cry, ABC, along with 80s Reunion.
80s Mix Tape will once again be transporting us back to the era famous for its shoulder pads and perms, where leggings were a staple, and the music was epic. This night will feature many of the icons who are synonymous with the 80s. DJ Martin Kemp, Hue and Cry and ABC will be taking to the stage in this party to remember.
We will also be joined by 80s Reunion, this four piece tribute act authentically recreate the look and sound of the 1980s.With awesome dancers and a live band they will recreate some of the very best chart-topping hits from 80s icons such as Duran Duran, The Human League, Madonna, Eurythmics and more.
Taking the party up a notch will be Martin Kemp, who will be taking to the decks perfoming a DJ set. Martin is best known for being the bassist in new wave band Spandau Ballet, which had a number of Top 20 hits and produced 80s anthems such as True, Only When you Leave and Gold.
There also will be music from Scottish pop duo Hue and Cry. Best known for their biggest hit in 1987 Labour of Love.
Rounded the line-up off is 80s pop band ABC. With front man Martin Fry helping us relive their greatest hits such as Poison Arrow, The Look of Love and All of My Heart.
Don’t miss out, get your hair curlers ready, dust off your shoulder pads and join us for more 80s magic in 2023!
