About the Event

This event is promoted by Belper Arts Festival, Derby LIVE are pleased to act as a ticket agent.

Following his sell out show during Belper Arts Festival 2017, Yorkshire poet, broadcaster and comedian Ian McMillan returns with award winning cartoonist Tony Husband.

Expect an evening of comedy, cartoonery, poetry, storytelling and improv in a fast flowing adventure in which two top funny men reflect upon local stories and legends! Every performance is different, with YOU the audience providing the characters and stories for Ian and Tony to bring to life.

Ian McMillan is an English poet, journalist, playwright, and broadcaster. He is known for his strong and distinctive Barnsley-area accent and his incisive, friendly interview style on programmes such as BBC Radio 3's The Verb.

Tony Husband is a British cartoonist known for black humour. He has a regular cartoon strip in Private Eye entitled Yobs that has been published since the late 1980s. He co-wrote the Round the Bend children's television series, which ran from 1989 to 1991, and was also involved with Hangar 17, which ran from 1992 to 1994. He has won The Cartoon's Museum's Pont Award.
