Belper Arts Festival 2019 opens with a musical concert featuring Broadway star Jeanna De Waal.

Jeanna studied acting at The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, graduating in 2009. After a year playing Scaramouche in We Will Rock You, Jeanna moved to New York where she has played leading roles on Broadway in American Idiot and Kinky Boots. She toured the USA in Wicked as Glinda and also appeared in Finding Neverland and Waitress.

In February, Jeanna opens in a new musical, Diana – The Musical in which she plays the title role of Princess Diana. Jeanna will be returning to New York after the Belper concert to prepare for Diana opening on Broadway.

Bedazzled by Broadway will also feature performances by Belper Musical Theatre and Derby's own Paddy Stafford.
