From authors talks, music and poetry, to Play Doh monsters, 'Dear Zoo' and Sublime Science in just one week.

Children’s ‘Monsters’ Play Doh Craft Activity (1 hour)

Create your own Play Doh monster inspired by the book ‘Monsters in the Dark’ by Zanna Davidson

Children’s Poetry Treasure Hunt with Furthest From The Sea (1 hour)

Join a Pirate Poet in our Poetry Treasure Hunt. Find words hidden around the library and use them to write your own poems. Recommended age 4 – 11.

Bookstart Bear Rhymetime and Crafts (1 hour, 15 minutes)

Come and enjoy a special Rhymetime with Bookstart Bear and Barbara.  Recommended age 0 –3

‘Dear Zoo’ Craft Activity with Scraggy Moo (1 hour) before Storytime

Come and join us for a friendly and relaxed Craft Activity for you and your little one! We’ll be using Rod Campbell’s brilliant Dear Zoo book as inspiration. Recommended age 0 – 3

Storytime Takeover with Sue Wilkins, local children’s author. (1 hour)

Sue will be telling us all about Bobby Dog, a character from her new book. Recommended age 0 - 3

Children’s Sublime Science (1 hour)

Join Dragons Den winners Sublime Science for a fun-filled and action-packed science party with magic tricks, bouncing bubbles, fizzing potions, plus the chance to make sweets and slime. Recommended age 4 – 11.

Children’s Author Nate Holder - Where Have All the Instruments Gone? (1 hour)

Join Nate Holder for a talk and interactive listening session on his book ‘Where Are All The Instruments?’.  Children will be invited to talk and draw as Nate explores some of the histories behind the instruments of the European Orchestra, including diverse examples of people who have made incredible music with these instruments throughout history. Recommended age 4 – 8
