Mozart Mass in C Minor and Puccini Messa di Gloria
Conductor: Richard Roddis
Sat 16 Nov
Derby Cathedral
Running Time: 2 hours - approximate, including any interval(s).
About the Event
The Great Mass was written for Mozart's new wife Constanze, who sang at the first performance, and is one of his finest liturgical works
Derby Bach Orchestra Leader: Derek Williams
Soloists: Emma Tring, Cressida Sharp, Jason Darnell, Mike Dewis
In this concert, we pair it with Puccini's mass - almost exactly 100 years after this composer's death. He wrote it when only eighteen, but this piece anticipates the operatic colour of those later works he is best known for.
Side Aisle and Balcony tickets are availble direct from the Derby Bach Choir
