Featuring one of Mozart’s most quintessential and famous works Symphony No 40. Instantly recognisable from television and film, the piece bubbles with elevated grandeur and tangible passion that is the staple of Mozart’s best pieces.
The concert also includes Schumann’s 3 Romances, Op.22, takes impressive and nimble upwards leaps, making it a tense musical ride that dives into its themes acrobatically. Kodály’s Summer Evening ripples and flourishes beautifully, complimenting Grieg’s Holberg Suite, a piece with such radiance, that it indelibly imprints itself on the listener's consciousness with its pathos, power and emotional depth.
