Sinfonia Viva: Music and Reflection
Sat 2 Mar
Derby Cathedral
Running Time: 2 hours - approximate, including any interval(s).
About the Event
Sinfonia Viva team up with Derby Cathedral Choir for a spectacular concert combining beautiful orchestral and choral music.
Head back in time to the Renaissance and Baroque periods to hear sacred music written for cathedrals, churches, palaces, private homes, and the theatre by composers who are still widely celebrated today. This music has a distinctive, soulful sound that is perfect for relaxation and reflection.
Where better to hear it in Derby than the stunning interior of Derby Cathedral, which was rebuilt in 1725 at the same time as much of this much was first performed?
