About the Event

A spectacular evening of classical music returns for 2025.

Enjoy one of the highlights of the summer as The Darley Park Concert returns for another spectacular evening of classical music and fireworks.

Back as part of The Darley Park Weekender, this firm favourite will be delighting crowds once again with a captivating performance of classical music, followed by a display of fireworks to round off the weekend. 

Sinfonia Viva will provide the stunning music in the beautiful surroundings of Darley Park, making it the perfect event for family and friends to enjoy together. Don’t forget to bring your picnic!

Sinfonia Viva music programme

Derby's very own orchestra, Sinfonia Viva, has been as the heart of The Darley Park Weekender for the past three decades, creating joyful and inspiring performances that make every visit a special memory.

Conducter: Stephen Bell

Stephen Bell is a highly sought-after British conductor, currently Principal Guest Conductor of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Associate Conductor of the Hallé. Praised for his diverse repertoire, he boasts extensive discography, BBC broadcasting, and career highlights including Queen's Jubilee, Prince Charles galas, and numerous BBC Proms. He frequently conducts major orchestras internationally.

Soloist: Juliette Crosbie

Juliette has recently been busy with a number of exciting film and television projects. She filmed the role of Penny in the feature film Everybody Digs Bill Evans, starring alongside Anders Danielson Lie. She also played Belle opposite John Simm in Jack Thorne's production of A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic Theatre in London. In addition to her acting work, Juliette regularly performs with the RTE Concert Orchestra. She recently celebrated 100 Years of Disney Music with them and performed alongside West End star John-Owen Jones for their New Year's Eve Gala. This year, she also sang with Mike and The Mechanics' star Tom Howar on the RTE Concert Orchestra's Movies and Musicals Tour.
