About the event

Two decades since they burst onto the Folk scene, come and see Daphne’s Flight- older, wiser and twice as inspirational

Daphne's Flight is a collaboration between five of the UK's finest female vocalists, instrumentalists and songwriters. Julie Matthews, Melanie Harrold, Helen Watson, Chris While and Miranda Sykes have created a unique sound based upon terrific harmonies and excellent musicianship.
That collaboration resulted in an album and sell out tour during the mid 1990's.The initial collaboration was short lived but, twenty years on, talk began of a reunion. This resulted in the album 'Knows Time, Knows Change'.
On stage, Daphne's Flight come alive, delivering powerful and inventive performances across varying musical genres.

This event forms part of a series of concerts remembering Mick Peat and Barry Coope.
During 2021 the music world lost two giants in Mick Peat and Barry Coope. Their lives had been intertwined through a love of music and performance for over forty years.
Now friends have come together to celebrate Mick and Barry with three concerts at St. Peter's Church, Belper.
